We were having a garage sale and I wanted a way to lock up my hand tools so I could not get distracted and someone walk off with my nice stuff. This was so easy to assemble, you cant do it wrong because the way its set up. If I knew how great this was I would have bought it a very long time ago.

Secondhand StyleVintage accents go hand-in-hand with farmhouse style. Distressed furniture, worn marquee lights, and attractive signage make this kitchen one-of-a-kind, as does the crushworthy wood-and-glass kitchen door acquired coming from a historic house. We like the way another vintage kitchen door pair with the remainder of the room's thrift elements.

Tension Rod CompartmentsUse two tension rods to create compartments in a tiny drawer with regard to kitchen cupboard organizers. Position the tension rods near the top drawer, 2 or 3 inches apart, to create three compartments: one large, one medium, and one small. Keep your food bins within the large compartment, water bottles set up within the medium compartment, and lids within the small compartment in a vertical position to maximize storage.

Although this kitchen was up-to-date and functional when we started, there were a few regions where small improvements could make a large impact. As an example, the builder-basic, over-the-range microwave was practical but it crowded the range area. Simply by removing the microwave in the wall (and replacing it with a practical vent hood), the kitchen feels more open and the vent hood looks like a high-end custom made cabinetry bit. The classic subway tile backsplash gives a subtle contrast to the pristine white cabinets. And the walk-in cabinet has a fresh new look with more functional custom shelves.
