The Craftsman 2000 Garage Cabinet was exactly what I needed for storage in my garage. It took me about 3 hours to assemble but it would probably go faster for two people. It is not a project I would recommended for a novice since the directions are not extremely detailed.
I have decided to organize and update my garage. I am moving away from open shelving to closed storage. I purchased my Craftsman cabinet at Lowe’s at a good price. They loaded in my SUV for me and away I went. I was able to assemble it fairly easily but some parts are heavy so it was useful to have another person help.
This is a little different from the one I bought but I love it. It is definitely durable and I love the granite look top on mine. It is spacious both on the inside and outside and it cuts down on onsiteley clutter by offer enclosed storage space. It is the perfect size for a mobile home kitchen not too small and not to big.
When first assembling I was worried about it being a bit unstable or wobbly, but after hammering in the back piece of the cabinet, all those concerns went away. The minor gripe I have is the pegs that hold the adjustable shelf are difficult to remove from the cabinet.
Wasn’t too difficult to assemble. Took me a couple of hours by myself. Instructions were good and easy to read. Very happy with it! I would definitely recommend!
I think there are a handful of ways the cabinet could be improved but I can not complain about the finished product. It looks good, its strong, stable, and it securely holds the heavy gear I packed it with. I am considering buying a second one
