Kitchens are the meeting place in the home today, and there is no more comfortable place to be than at the Americana Kitchen Island. Crafted of hardwood solids and veneers, with engineered woods, and finished in natural clear maple finish.
Hubby gave her casters, a new interior shelf, and hinged a piece of MDF where the sewing machine used to be. To add more cubby space, I cut an old shoe organizer (which previously was hanging in my closet) in half and attached it to the sides with furniture tacks.
One large piece of MDF was purchased for $10 and cut into 3 pieces (way cheaper). The pegboard was $3 and is attached to the top-shelf bracket with beading wire. I was impatient and didn’t want to wait for hubby to figure out how to drill it around the brackets. I use beading wire for everything. It is fantastic.
