Excerpt from DIY Butcher-Block Kitchen Countertops :
Step 2: Butcher Block
When you be okay with positioning, follow the template on the walnut butcher-block countertop bit and remove marked holes using a saw. We advocate a jigsaw for about holes only because it usually means you could easily move around corners. Cut involving 1/4 and 1/2 inch in the reflective sink hole lineup so the hole is not too large; you can rewind which makes it slightly larger.
